SYMBOLISM
A dreamlike North Atlantic landscape inspired by the coasts and wildlife preserves of Southeastern Massachusetts. Featuring beach rose (rosa rugosa), great blue heron, seagull feathers, crab claw, knotted wrack seaweed, and lots of rocks.
This is an improvised painting done freehand in brushed ink over a waterccolor wash, in a luminous style suggestive of stained glass. From the new Gild The Stains series.
