A fine art print, made to order, of my original painting, Spotted Jewelweed. Choose 5x7" or 9x12".

Impatiens capensis, Spotted Jewelweed, is a beautiful annual wildflower native to New England. It's called jewelweed because the leaves shine like silver under water. Another common name is touch-me-not, because the plant's matured seed pods will eject at the slightest touch. Jewelweed is used as a folk remedy for poison ivy. This botanical fell on my radar when I stumbled into a large patch of it one day on a walk in the woods.
